These things you tell me
Letting me understand
We two
Women in a confusing world
Giving each other our philosophical
Thoughts
In our intellect
And experiences
But then,
I am the young
You the elder-
The more experienced
I only tell you how I feel
In shortened, imprecise words
Unable to bear the fruits
Of the known,
Wishing that I,
Fourteen years of age
Would physically be
Older.
